Hey everyone!
January is already more than half way over! I hope the start to your year is going well!
I don’t do a ton of interviews/podcasts/YouTube videos, but as part of my goals for 2023, I said I was going to make an effort to do a few of these.
So I accepted an invitation to the Blogger Genius Podcast, which just released my episode today.

The podcast was a lot of fun, and if you are looking to promote your blog, paid newsletter, product, eBook, or just to build your personal brand, I’d highly recommend finding one in your niche!
In today's digital age, personal branding has become increasingly important as it allows individuals to establish themselves as experts in their field. Social media platforms and professional networking sites have made it easier than ever for people to showcase their talents and accomplishments, allowing them to build a strong online presence and connect with potential employers, clients, and collaborators.

A well-crafted personal brand can also help to attract new business and increase visibility, which is essential for building a successful career or business. Additionally, by clearly communicating one's unique value proposition, a personal brand can help to differentiate oneself from competitors and increase one's perceived value.

With Google’s renewed emphasis on EEAT, I think it’s also important to build out social media profiles related to you or your brand (and link back to your blog).
While there is some debate about the exact impact this has, I have always seen boosts in my blog traffic, domain authority, and most importantly in my site’s ability to establish topical authority and to rank for competitive keywords.
So, be sure to claim your social media handles (if you haven’t already) and perhaps consider joining me in experimenting with podcasts/YouTube interviews, to boost the authority of your content and help drive more organic traffic.
Until next time!
